Impactful action requires planning. At Clear Currents, we aim to be impactful, locally, around the world. Thinking big, while acting in small communities, supports great change. To do this, we need the sharing of ideas and people coming together to support the world’s oceans, lakes and rivers so that future generations can enjoy them.
To stay on task and accomplish our goals of support, we need to create actionable plans. What does this mean? We need to work together to effect change. Exchanging ideas and identifying those that we would like to fund is the first step, and acting is the second step.
Many of us at Clear Currents have been working within the aquatic community for decades. Over the years, we have heard similar comments from the diving, boating, fishing, swimming, community in that they want to be able to do more, help more, act more.
Whether it is participation in a ghost net clean up, assisting a disabled veteran learn how to dive or to donate money where it will do good, people want to help, and we are organizing efforts. The idea is not to recreate the wheel with our non-profit but to support those that are studying ocean sciences, organizing local orientated conversation efforts, and so much more. With our contacts within the marine industry and beyond, we can call on our known contacts and look for many more to support.
