The Jared Hires Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to aid with diving education and the expansion of diving education into research around the world.
Jared embodied what it meant to be a devoted husband, father, role model and explorer. He entered all his pursuits with passion and a love for life that was infectious. The Jared Hires Scholarship was created to aid others in there pursuits that Jared would find admirable. Our mission is to honor the enduring legacy, pioneering spirit, and deep love for adventure of Jared Hires by empowering the next generation of scientific divers and marine researchers.
The Jared Hires scholarship seeks to support graduate students who embody Jared’s commitment to the diving community, his zeal for education, and his passion for exploring the world’s most challenging and beautiful underwater environments. By investing in their advanced diving education and research, the program aims to foster leaders who will share their knowledge and contribute significantly to the growth and future of scientific discovery in the underwater world.
We will begin taking applications for The Jared Hires Scholarship in Early 2026.
